The object
A soldered brass octahedron holds a single raw amethyst chunk suspended in open air. Beneath it, a second tier: a crescent arc strung with amethyst chip, a pear-cut centre prism, and a staggered fringe of icicle drops.
Nothing here is moulded. The facets are cut, so light bends hard and clean instead of smearing. The beads are aurora-coated in vacuum — which is why one sphere goes pink, then green, then gold as you walk past it.

One of one, by definition
Acrylic scatters light into a grey smudge. Cut glass has real edges, so it splits sunbeams into hard spectral bands you can count on the wall. That's the whole product. Everything else is an ornament.
Hard caustics, not haze
The upper cage is rigid. The lower cascade swings on fine chain at staggered lengths. Any draught, any door, and the light field reshuffles. A single flat prism gives you one static rainbow and nothing else.

Real, raw amethyst — split from a larger piece, never carved or tumbled. That's why the shape is irregular, the base is often milky, and the crust is matte where the fracture ran.
Yours will not look identical to the footage on this page. That's the correct outcome. Dyed glass is uniform; mineral isn't.
No. Frame, chain and crescent are plated brass — non-ferrous, so it can't rust in window condensation, and UV-stable so it won't chalk or yellow behind glass.
One thing to avoid: no alcohol, acetone or abrasive spray. Dry microfibre, or a barely damp cloth. That's the entire maintenance routine.
More robust than it photographs. Every vertex of the octahedron is soldered rather than crimped, so the frame is load-bearing — you can lift the whole piece by the top ring.
It ships suspended in cut foam inside a rigid box, with the lower cascade coiled and separated so the prisms can't strike each other in transit.
